For the first edition of CirkAround project, Circuito CLAPS (lead partner) was joined by 4 Italian partners (Fondazione Teatro Comunale Città di Vicenza, Industria Scenica, Associazione Sarabanda, Piccola Scuola di Circo di Milano) and 7 international ones: Circus Info Finland (Finland), La Grainerie and Le Lido (France), Festival CiRCA (France), Circostrada (France), Compagnia l'Excuse (France), Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Portugal).

Several actions took place from February to December 2019, involving the selected young people in some steps in Italy and abroad. The constant presence of the project tutors of Circuito CLAPS ensured accompaniment to the training course.
- CirkAround MASTERCLASS with 2 training courses, one with national teachers in Vicenza (February, Teatro Comunale) and the other with international experts and programmers in Milan (May, Tendenza Clown festival).
- CirkAround IMMERSIVE with workshops and tours of the prestigious circus schools of Toulouse - Le Lido and La Grainerie (April);
- CirkAround EXPERIENCE with participation in the Fresh Street meeting of the Circostrada network in Galway (Ireland) and Fresh Circus at the Circa festival in Auch (France);
- CirkAround FEEDBACK with a final phase of restitution on the experience made, in Brescia.

In the first year of the project, the collaboration with Piccola Scuola di Circo in Milan enabled 3 artists to be identified from within its professional training classes (Diego Lama, Noemi Bevilacqua and Riccardo Tosi), while the call for organisers obtained 35 applications from all over Italy.

Of the 15 people admitted to the individual interview in Brescia, at Circuito CLAPS headquarters, 3 people were admitted to the project (Claudia Muresu, Leonardo Varriale, Gabriele Fisichella) and 2 others were given the opportunity to attend 2 masterclasses (Giulia Merga, Matteo Giovanardi). Following the collaboration with milanese Collettivo Clown in the framework of the international festival Tendenza Clown, some members of the group followed the International Masterclass and one of them was given the opportunity to take part in the CirkAround Experience in Auch.
