CirkAround is one of the international projects by Circuito CLAPS. It focuses on the internationalisation of the careers of under-35s working in contemporary circus. Born in 2018, it consists of an educational and experiential path directed to young professional artists and/or organisers, selected for each edition through a special national call. Thanks to the partnership with Italian and foreign realities, Circuito CLAPS offers participants masterclasses and workshops with experts from all over the world, opportunities to attend the main contemporary circus festivals at European level and many networking opportunities thanks to contacts with international professionals. The project won the Italian Ministry of Culture Boarding Pass Plus competition for four consecutive editions in the circus field. National and international partners are joined by 4 ‘satellites’, Italian artists living and working abroad, who provide a glimpse into foreign countries and are a real example of internationalisation of careers.
